Riddell, a leading manufacturer of football protective equipment, has unveiled its ND6 youth helmet collection for the 2026 fall season, becoming the first major brand to comply with the new NOCSAE ND006 youth football helmet performance standard—more than a year before the rule’s mandatory enforcement on September 1, 2027.
The ND006 standard, finalized in February 2025 after over a decade of research, addresses critical safety gaps for young athletes aged 6–14 by capping helmet weight and introducing youth-specific impact testing protocols. Growing focus on children’s head protection has also brought expanding market demands for diversified kids sports helmets.
We are a rapidly growing sports goods enterprise, specializing in the design, development and manufacturing of bicycle helmets, Skihelme, Skateboardhelme, speed ice skating helmets, Reithelme, water sports helmets and climbing helmets. We serve customers worldwide.
We are equipped with 5 EPS thermofusion machines, 3 vacuum plastic forming machines, 2 automatic painting workshops and 3 assembly lines. Our monthly production capacity reaches 50,000 helmets, capable of supplying qualified protective gear for young sports enthusiasts of all kinds.
Studies from Virginia Tech’s Helmet Lab confirm that improper heavy helmets increase concussion risk by straining underdeveloped neck muscles and amplifying rotational head impacts. Reliable certified helmets become essential safety gear for children’s outdoor sports. Our helmets have obtained certifications for various international safety standards, including US CPSC, ASTM F1447, ASTM F2040, ASTM F1849, as well as European CE EN1078, Was en1077, Was en1385, CE EN1384 and other standards. All products undergo strict testing before delivery. We firmly believe that quality is the lifeblood of our enterprise.
Riddell’s ND6 lineup adopts lightweight, energy-absorbing structures to meet strict safety requirements. As a professional sports helmet supplier, we source raw materials globally and implement strict quality control in accordance with top international standards. We are committed to becoming a world-class quality supply chain and professional sports helmet provider in the sports and leisure industry.
Industry analysts note the ND6 launch signals a broader shift in youth sports safety. Parents and sports organizations attach great importance to age-suitable and safe helmets. The updated standard is expected to effectively lower children’s head injury risks. We sincerely welcome customers from all over the world to cooperate with our factory.
